A search engine is a software search engine that receives information from the world wide web in response to user queries. There are some types of search engine and they are given below :

1) Crawler-based : These search engine are automated programs ( web crawlers ) to explore the internet, index web pages, and then retrieve results based on relevance to a user’s query.

   4) Meta search engine : These engine search multiple other search engines simultaneously, providing users with a wider range of results.

   5) Vertical search engines : These engines focus on specific areas of information, like products, flights, or social media content.

   6) Desktop search engines : These engines index files and document on a user’s computer or local network.
